The Free New Mexico (FNM) Party State Central Committee (SCC) called a meeting to order at 7:10 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The members present at the call to order were the Chair, Secretary, Communications Director, Fundraising Director, and Legislative Director.
The agenda was:
1) Finalize any necessary details for the State Convention
2) Find a volunteer to assemble a Signature Packet for the Signature Drive
Before beginning with the official agenda, the Chair reported news from the National Libertarian Party regarding funding for the signature drive. He also reported that the Secretary of State had answered the question regarding separating signatures by county. According to their most recent information, separation by county was not necessary. The Chair also reported on current membership numbers for the State Convention and National’s plans for the signature drive.
The signature packets needed some additional work to be completed for the State Convention, and several members agreed to assist as needed.
The discussion then moved to finalizing any details needed for the State Convention. After some discussion, the Campaigns Director joined the meeting. The Chair moved to allocate an additional $100 for the Convention Committee, raising its total budget to $600 from $500. After some discussion as to the expected uses of this additional money, a voice vote of the members present resulted in unanimous approval.
The Chair then moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed without objection, and the FNM Party SCC Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM.
