The Free New Mexico (FNM) Party State Central Committee (SCC) called a meeting to order at 7:03 PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The members present at the call to order were the Chair, Vice Chair/Secretary, Treasurer, Affiliate Director, Campaigns Director, Legislative Director, and Fundraising Director.
The agenda was:
1) Discuss business regarding the Signature Drive
2) Discuss our incorporation into Region 1
The chair of the Signature Drive Committee reported on progress of the signature drive and her interactions with the persons sent by National to assist in the paid side of the drive. The SCC discussed the current state of the drive and the Treasurer provided some ideas on how to conduct door-to-door canvassing.
A new email was planned for distribution to members regarding participation in the signature drive.
After that, the Chair announced that he had filled out the forms to enter the FNM Party into Region 1 of the National LP’s region system. There was some discussion about the people serving as region representatives and similar topics.
The Treasurer then explained a current issue having to do with the signatory list on the official bank account. The SCC arranged to have the appropriate people fill out and send in the necessary forms to change the signatory list to include the Chair and the new Treasurer.
The Chair then moved to adjourn, and the motion passed with no objections. The FNM Party adjourned the meeting at 8:25 PM.
