The Free New Mexico (FNM) Party State Central Committee (SCC) called a meeting to order at 7:13 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Present at the call to order were the Chair, Vice Chair/Secretary, Treasurer, and the Affiliate, Campaigns, Outreach, and Legislative Directors.
The agenda was:
1) Discuss and possibly appropriate funds for web form editing and improvements
2) Any other pressing issues from the rest of the Board
The Chair began by asking the Secretary to summarize the proposed minutes from the previous meeting. After that, the Chair moved to ratify the proposed minutes. The motion passed without discussion or objections.
The Secretary then moved to add budgeting/allocation for Outreach to the agenda. The Treasurer moved to amend the motion to add the Treasurer’s report to the agenda as well. After consulting the bylaws and some discussion, the conclusion of the Board was that the Treasurer’s report is an automatic part of every meeting’s agenda and the Treasurer withdrew his amendment. There were no further objections to the original motion.
The Treasurer then proceeded with his report. The fine to the FEC was paid, and further disbursements from the KVF were discussed.
Discussion then moved to the funding for Outreach. The Outreach Director explained that she was still gathering information on what is allowed and required for the State Fair. The deadline for application is June 25th. After some discussion, the Chair moved to allocate $500 for the booth fee. The motion was passed by Roll Call vote unanimously.
Discussion then moved to updating the website. After some back-and-forth about possible plans for the flpnm.org and lpnm.us sites, the Secretary moved to allocate $50 plus taxes and fees to resubscribe to WP Forms for one year. After some discussion about the amounts of taxes and fees and possible vagueness of the original motion, the Treasurer moved an amendment that would change the amount from “$50 plus taxes and fees” to “$60,” under the assumption that taxes and fees will be less than $10, and any unused funds can be returned to the treasury. That amendment passed without objection. The amended motion was then voted on by Roll Call, and it passed unanimously.
Finally, the Chair opened the floor for any other pressing business. When no one spoke up, the Chair moved to adjourn. The motion passed without discussion or objections, and the FNM Party SCC adjourned at 8:07 PM.
