The Free New Mexico (FNM) Party State Central Committee (SCC) called a meeting to order at 7:03 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Present at the call to order were the Chair, Vice Chair/Secretary, Treasurer, Campaigns Director, Outreach Director, Legislative Director, and Fundraising Director.
The agenda was:
1) Treasurer’s Report
2) Approve recent Proposed Minutes
3) Discuss transferring recently renewed web domains
4) Discuss and make appropriate motions re: ballot access lawsuit against NM SoS
The Chair moved to accept the minutes from the last meeting. The motion passed without discussion or objection.
The Chair introduced the lawyer, Gary Fielder, to talk about the Secretary of State case. The Chair moved to create a committee to handle legal team issues for the case (“the legal committee”), and volunteered to chair it. After some discussion, the motion passed without objections.
Gary Fielder gave a talk about the legal issues with the Secretary of State. After the talk, the Chair moved to allocate $2500 from the federal funds to the legal committee for engaging him. No discussion was forthcoming, and the motion passed by roll call vote unanimously.
The Fundraising Director then took the floor to talk about her race for a local position. The discussion was interrupted for the Treasurer to give a report. He reported $1337.94 in general funds and $15907.43 in federal funds, and reported that the August 14th report had been submitted successfully.
After some discussion, the Treasurer moved to allocate $700 for the Fundraising Director’s campaign. After some discussion, the motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.
After that, the Chair moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed without discussion or objections and the meeting adjourned at 8:26 PM.
