The Free Libertarian Party of New Mexico (FLPNM) State Central Committee (SCC) convened a meeting at 6:50 PM on January 10, 2023. The Chair started by opening the floor for public comment. Rhett Trappman made comments regarding the possible cost-inefficiency of a subscription to JotForms. After the closing of the public comment section, the Secretary took attendance.
The Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Director, Legislative Director, Outreach Director, and Affiliate Director were present, making quorum. The topic of the meeting was declared by the Chair to be regarding facilitating the signing of the NAP pledge for prospective members. There had been a recent influx of approximately forty people who had paid but needed to sign the pledge before the Convention Deadline, February 2.
The Chair opened the floor for comment from the SCC, and the Outreach Director noted that Patty Malowney was intending to attend the meeting. During that discussion, Patty joined the meeting. The necessity of a short-term website solution until National’s option was working correctly was discussed.
The Treasurer reported the current balance of the FLPNM to be approximately $600. There was some discussion as to how best and most efficiently create a method for new members to sign the NAP pledge. The possibility of a no-cost option was raised.
The Secretary then moved to delegate creation of the forms to Patty Malowney and Rhett Trappman. After some discussion, it was stated that a solution could be finished in less than a week, although certain information would need to be provided to those working on the solution. Finishing up the discussion, the motion was voted on by raising of hands in the Zoom workspace. The motion was approved unanimously.
The Outreach Director then moved to promptly send an email to all prospective members with a PDF attached. There was some discussion, and then the motion was called to a vote. It passed with six in favor. With the clear majority in favor, the opposition was not counted.
At this time, the Chair moved to adjourn the meeting. With no objections, the motion to adjourn was passed, and the SCC adjourned at 7:32 PM.
